and thats a wrap!!

So recently the weather has been less than cooperative, so what is a girl to do? Ah my dear readers (if there are any) it is very simple: watch movies. For an avid Scene It Movie player I must keep up with new movies (that I want to see of course). Recently Watchmen was released on dvd and lets just say that I had to pick it up the day it came out.

Now I am not quote-on-quote comic book nerd but hey if it has all weird twists and turns and some seriously messed up characters, who am I to turn it down? Hands down it was the best comic book I have ever read (besides the Killing Joke... but that is an entirely different blog for a different day).

So I started to think of my top 10 movies. And from my extremely long list of high quality movies I have comprised this list (not in order):

1. Love Actually- Best romantic comedy, you can't help but feeling lovey dovey and with an added bonus takes place during Christmas ( its like cupids master piece)

2. Se7en- for all of the NCIS, Law & Order, or Morgan Freeman fans. Just don't ask whats in the box

3. Watchmen- because who doesn't like finding the background story of a superhero ( plus its a murder mystery). Oh and Patrick Wilson....enough said

4. The Illusionist- ultimate twist ending and let me explain via math: Edward Norton + Bad Ass Lifestyle= Hot

5. Madagascar- funniest kids movie... just watch for the penguins it puts Happy Feet to shame

6. Fight Club- ...I can't talk about it

7. The Usual Suspects- because I want to know who the hell is Kisar Sosee!!!

8. Bowling For Columbine- maybe somewhat biased but very interesting

9. Chicago- sex, jazz hands, and murder hey sounds like fun to me

10. Across the Universe- you have to be on your A game when you can comprise a complicated story line based off of some Beatles songs.

What movies make your top ten??

Fun & Games

Another rainy day in Massachusetts, which means more time inside trying not to go stir crazy. I have tried everything from reading half of a book in a day, collaging, planning out dorm decorations for the fall (yes I am that OCD about decorating) and making great play lists to get me into more of a summer mood.

So I was on the phone with my boyfriend and we starting quizzing each other like on those old dating shows. Like "what is your favorite song?" or "what is your favorite midnight snack?" This went on for a good hour, so I starting to think if we wrote all the questions down and had a couple show down with some friends we know.

I mean you can only play Mario Party and Scene It (movie edition of course) for so long before it gets old and boring. And to turn things around it could become battle of the sexes and see who is the smarter gender ( females, obviously but its always fun to see guys squirm when they get competitive and lose horribly).

What questions would you want to ask?

Have a happy Thursday : ]
