When Bordeom Strikes (dun dun dun)

So it's another lazy Sunday. After getting out of dance all I want to do is crash, so what do I do? I do that new "which celeb do you look like" application. Apparently I look like Alyson Hannigan, also known as the flute girl from American Pie. So cheers to having a name that is constantly made fun of in Family Guy as well as looking like a sexual psycho path in American Pie (I am referring to the "say my name bitch" part of the movie).

Oh well, lets hope that some of you are not as disappointed as I when you part take in this. Stay warm and I hope everyone has a good week. I will try to post more often, key word is TRY.

Dance-Gasm

Hope everyone's week is going by quickly (unlike mine). But with work, class, dance, and homework you would think it would be going a little bit faster. I am so excited with how dance is going, especially all of the dances I signed up for (never give myself much down time):

1. Hairspray: You Can't Stop The Beat (or fainting... it's crazy fast)
2. Yo Yo Ma: Gabriele's Oboe (Ballet, and we have to be winter trees... no I am not lieing)
3. Outkast: Rosa Parks (Tap number about the infinite hate we all have for the MBTA)
4. Lady GaGa: Boys Boys Boys (flirting with the audience, ohh yeah)
5. Seven Deadly Sins (another tap number, lets hope I don't have to be gluttony)
6. Lenny Kravitz: Tunnel Vision ( all about the jazz hands)

There are a few other pieces I have my eye on but who knows how much more craziness I want to add to my schedule. Also, because I am dumb I have decided that I am going to choreograph a piece next fall. I already have a song picked, Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down): Nancy Sinatra (for all of those Kill Bill fans). But I am open for any suggestions, so if you have any ideas of a good song to dance to by all means leave me a comment.

Here is a video of a dance that is so amazing, really captures the essence of the song.

Well, that is all for now stay warm and have a good week.

Now In Theatres!

So recently I have been catching up on movies and let me tell you, some have really impressed me. Two of which are Sherlocke Holmes and Nine, which if you haven't seen yet should seriously consider it. Both of the casts are amazing, costuming was beautiful, and compelling story lines. It also doesn't hurt that Robert Downy Jr. and Jude Law look amazing. So if you have some spare time go see a movie in theatres or due to the weather curl up and hibernate for awhile.

New Year... New Ideas

Hello everyone! I know it has been a long time, but with all of the babysitting, holidays, and relaxing after a very tough semester. But now that it is a new year and there are a few things I will be working on. I hate the term of "New Years Resolution" because I automatically associate that with half ass work.

A friend and myself decided that we shall make a yearly bucket list. A list of things to get done before the end of the year. It could be life changing things or something as simple as going on a picnic on a spring day (which is definitely going on my list).

After going through a very difficult year I think that creating a list like this will give me things to think about when I am overwhelmed. With all of the bad things that are going on in the world I think that focusing on little wins will help my over all view on life. If any of you are out there and want to do the same thing or are just looking for something to turn stress into a smile I suggest you look at this amazing blog.

Also I hope that everyone prays (if you are religious) for all of the people in Haiti. Thousands of people have died or lost loved ones because of the earthquakes. To donate money go here, anything you can give will help so many.

Have a good weekend, and have a happy Martin Luther King Day.
